I am a writer/photographer/mother of four currently living in Valencia, Spain. I am interested in travel, people, cultures, and food. Yes, I’m one of those people who takes pictures of what they eat before they eat it and watch out if you food looks good too… you may have to wait to take a bite until I can get the lighting just right.
Writing
I have a technical writing degree from the University of Portland, but I prefer travel writing and reviews. I have written seven travel articles for the Tri-Border Reporter based out of Schinnen, NL, and have created and continue to maintain the LivinginGK blog as well as several others.
Photgraphy
I currently shoot with a Canon 7D and several lenses. A purist, photo editing is restricted to a bit of cropping or boosting the color, but I rarely even do those things. My photos have been used in the articles that I wrote for the Tri-Border Reporter and in my blogs.
Projects
I have two books “in the works,” a novel based on the amazing life of my grandparents and a fairly “green” travel guide. Stress relief is found in the realm of crafting so pottery, sewing, and painting projects could appear on Etsy at any time. I’ll post the link when that happens.
